We are so ungretful for the things we have. We always complain about what we don’t have when we should feel blessed for the few good things that we do possess, Allow me to explain.
I get burned to the bone when we complain about simple things; I think our stupidity has to be a curse, because there are so many other people who have it worse. Take this bum for instance, hungry and homeless on the street. We complain about possessions when he has nothing to eat. It’s ironic how we complain Burger King makes us ill when he’s starving, hoping to get a taste of that very same meal. We complain about a simple leak in the floor when hell, his place doesn’t even have a door. We complain we want a bigger house while he lives in a box. We buy fifty pairs of shoes when he just wants clean socks. We’re always quick to yell “get a job you bum” hell; you ever try getting a job smelling like a fifth of rum? Always complaining “I need a better job, their pay is too cheap” when he’s across the road going through the trash heap. We think we’re so great when we help out every now and again. Fuck that, how about bringing poverty to an end. I just get so pissed when all people can think about is themselves, fuck the rest. When we always want more and they have less. When we always want better and we already have the best. I just don’t get it; I fail to understand, how we can pass right by and not lend a helping hand. I can’t comprehend I just can’t see, do you agree or is it just me. People are heartless, evil, hateful, and a bitch. Always quick to yell “I’ll help” but there’s always a hitch. Listen to my words and know this is no act. It is no lie, it is simply fact. My heart has turned cold, a block of solid ice. People are the reason that I’m not nice. I walk in darkness now, forever and on my own. With burdens on my shoulders that are forever mine, and mine alone. You can not help me, so don’t even try. Don’t ask me why I don’t smile unless you want the truth, for I will not lie. Don’t expect me to cry because I can do it no mo, and don’t ask me why because not even I know. I guess it’s like a fighting game. You know, with the bar of health. People can only hurt you for so long, til you have nothing left. Unless you’ve lived the life I led and played the hand I’ve been dealt you will never understand the pain that I’ve felt. My life is a war that seems to have gone on forever. I cannot win, my opponent is too clever. I have fought and fought til I can fight no more. I have screamed to the top of my lungs, and all people did was ignore. I can’t take this no more, my wits are at their end. I will no longer try, I will no longer defend. I have nothing left, this game is over. I lose……….YOU WIN.
